Email: Monamohamad.2265@azhar.edu.eg Abstract: There is no doubt that the Noble Quran is the primary source of Islamic legislation. As such, scholars have relied heavily upon it across many disciplines—most notably the sciences of Usul Al-Fiqh (principles of jurisprudence) and Quranic exegesis (Tafsir), which are deeply interconnected. Usul al-Fiqh plays a vital role in accurately understanding and interpreting legal texts. The study aims to highlight the role of Usul Al-Fiqh in comprehending Sharia texts and deriving correct legal rulings.Within this work, I explain each relevant legal principle, clarify the areas of scholarly consensus and disagreement, while referring to the most prominent scholarly views along with some of their evidence, provide discussion and the preferred opinions, and then apply these principles practically to the two verses in question. Among the principles of jurisprudence addressed are: the generality conveyed by relative pronouns, the inclusion of women in masculine plural forms, the legal weight of descriptive qualifiers, general expressions intended for specific application, the legal authority of numerical qualifiers, the validity of analogy (qiyas), the specification of general terms by other Quranic verses. Among the means of clarifying ambiguous texts are the prophet’s peace be upon him actions, the prohibition conveyed by unrestricted negative commands, and the principle “the generality of the wording takes precedence over the specificity of the cause”. The research follows an inductive methodology to collect scholars’ views and evidence on the debated principles, followed by analytical and deductive approaches for discussion, preference, and practical application to the two verses under study.Key findings of the research include: The presence of a strong correlation between Usul al-Fiqh and Tafsir in many issues and topics. Each discipline influences the other, which is particularly evident in methods of classification, organization, and reasoning. This is clearly demonstrated in the Usuli applications to Quranic verses
