1- All research papers submitted to Al-Zahraa Journal for publication are subject to a double-blind peer review process, so researchers do not know the reviewers who are evaluating their research paper, and both reviewers also do not know researchers. All information referring to the identity of researchers or their name is omitted, so as to ensure that reviewers are not able to recognize the identity of researchers in order to ensure that the double-blind peer review process is conducted as objectively as possible.
2- Research papers are sent by e-mail to the journal, or researchers hand in three hard copies and a CD to the journal. Research papers sent to Al-Zahraa Journal are subject to confidential and objective reviewing to determine their validity for publication.
3- At the outset, research papers are reviewed by the Editorial Board to decide whether it is eligible for reviewing and in conformity with the publication rules or not. Some papers may be rejected either because they are beyond the journal's scope, or they are of low quality.
4- Research papers that are considered eligible for reviewing are sent to reviewers by a member of the journal staff with an official letter ratified by the editor-in-chief, or via the website.
5- The two reviewers read and assess research papers objectively. They do not direct any personal criticism to the researchers.
6- The Editorial Board is keen not to send research papers to reviewers who have conflict of interest between them and researchers as a result of competitive or cooperative relations.
7- The Editorial Board and the review board are keen to be committed to confidentiality standards that are related to the reviewing process.
8- Having read the research paper, a reviewer writes a confidential report. This report involves accepting the research for publication without modification, accepting it after amendments, or rejecting it along with mentioning the reasons for rejection. If one of the two reviewers rejects the research, it is sent to a third reviewer.
9- Letters of apology are sent to researchers whose research papers have not been accepted for publication.
10 - The researcher should inform the Editorial Board of any conflict of interest with any of the reviewers during or after the reviewing process.
