Abstract:
This study aims to identify the linguistic phenomena in the language of the Qur’an, linking them to sounds, forms, and structures, and examining their impact on the human psyche in the verses that encourage gentleness and kindness. The research relies on a descriptive methodology using statistical and analytical tools to collect and analyze the verses that advocate gentleness and good treatment in light of psycholinguistics. One of the key findings of the research is that the language of the Qur’an is miraculous and impactful on the human soul because it addresses both the intellect and emotions– a characteristic that cannot be found in any other speech. Regarding the results, the study highlights the importance of psycholinguistics, as studying language through it has a profound effect on establishing meaning. The research clarifies that one of the mechanisms for building sound awareness is the method of encouragement, which a caller to Islam must employ, as it is an approach appealing and influential to human nature. The study reveals the ultimate goal of the verses on gentleness in the Qur’an, which is to encourage Muslims to fulfill the commands of Allah and His Messenger (pbuh) and to link this with one of the virtues of Islam – gentleness - and its role in building sound awareness.
