Abstract:
The research aims to illustrate the tolerance of Islamic teachings in dealing with non-Muslims of various categories and religions, including the People of the Book and others. It also seeks to explain how to interact with non-Muslims in different circumstances and conditions, whether in times of strength or weakness, peace or war. This is achieved by examining this clear methodology in the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh). The inductive, analytical, and retrospective methodology has been used in his study. The most important findings of the research include: Islamic Dawah (Call) does not resort to war except when there are reasons such as injustice and aggression; the accusation that Islamic Dawah is based on bloodshed and the taking of lives without justification is categorically rejected; the broad-mindedness of Islamic Dawah encompasses sound principles in the way Muslims interact with others in war and peace, ensuring freedom of belief for all, and respecting human dignity while distinguishing between combatants and non-combatants. The most important recommendations of the study include understanding the principles established by the Islamic Dawah for Muslims to interact with non-Muslims in various aspects of life, including doctrinal, ethical, and social aspects, and activating the role of Islamic Dawah institutions in guiding Muslims on how to interact with others in different areas of life.
