Good Manners Hanan Salah Ahmed. Department of Sharia, Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies (Female Students), Al-Azhar University, Egypt Email: hanansalah313@gmail.com Abstract:
The research aims to explore the moral values that a person should possess from childhood through adulthood, as well as the importance of good manners in society. Morality is considered the foundation of a nation's survival, and deterioration of morality is a sign of its potential collapse. The study follows an inductive-deductive method, and one of the key findings is that adopting good morals leads to happiness in both this life and the hereafter. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “The closest of you to me in position on the Day of Judgment are those with the best character.” Islam has established that the survival of nations, the flourishing of their civilizations, and the sustainability of their strength are guaranteed only if moral values are upheld in society. If morality collapses, the state collapses with it. To be established in society, good manners require long-term education and continuous care rather than mere commands and prohibitions.
