Abstract:
The study targeted the morals of Sultan Alp Arslan, one of the most important Muslim leaders, heroes, and great men of history. He is the hero of the immortal victory over the Romans in the Battle of Manzikert, the victory that changed the course of history. The epithet Alp Arslan translates into the Heroic Lion in Turkish. He was the second ruler of the Seljuk Turks after the founding Sultan Tughril Bey. He ruled the land from the farthest reaches of Transoxiana to the farthest reaches of the Levant. In this research, which uses the descriptive and analytical approach, light is shed on the morals of Islam and the morals of the Prophet’s Companions that were demonstrated by our brave Sultan. Such morals led to his success and victories, through which he became an example to be imitated and a value taught to young Muslims who are looking for a role model. Alp Arslan was just, generous, kind-hearted, humble, and fair. He respected scholars and listened to their advice and his subjects loved him. One of the most important results of the research is that Sultan Alp Arslan is considered an inspiring figure in the history of Islam, not only in terms of power, kingship, and rule, but also in terms of morals and adherence to the teachings of Islam and the Sunnah of our Noble Messenger (pbuh) and the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them.
