Abstract:
Despite scientific and civilizational progress, and the presence of the united Nations with its recognition of human rights, racial discrimination is still practiced by some countries to date. Racial discrimination is not a crime committed against an individual, but rather a crime against all of humanity, representing a threat to international peace and security. It has become clear that discrimination on the basis of race, gender, language, or religion is an assault on basic rights and freedoms. On the other hand, the crime of racism is a from of exploitation of peoples’ wealth and denial of human right and fundamental freedoms. We cannot hope to build an international community based on equality in dignity and worth among all humans without addressing this issue through solidarity and efforts to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination. Recently, serious cooperation - at state level - to combat racial discrimination and other types of crimes has been observed, in addition to the UN initiatives, which have criminalized acts constituting international crimes, particularly racial discrimination due to its severe and extremely bad impact on the human psyche. This is achieved through international agreements, declarations and charters that have been concluded for such a purpose.
