Abstract:
This study aims to highlight the moral values in the poem of El-Kaws El-Azraa by Mr. Mahmoud Muhammad Shaker, with its prose introduction and conclusion. For many of those who have studied this poem, it is an ideal reading and an ideal approach to reviving the Arabic heritage. The results of the research, which has followed the analytical approach, include the following: the most prominent moral values in the poem and its main purpose is perfection of work; the connection between the value of patience and the value of perfection of work is remarkable in the poem; the relationship between the archer and his bow has turned into a relationship between a man and a woman, so the research presents the moral values that emerge in the poem from that relationship; the poet also exploits the scenes of the history of defunct nations to point out morals and lessons from them, employing this in a way that serves the dramatic development of the poem; the poet has woven an optimistic conclusion for his poem, urging hope and ambition, and rejecting surrender to despair and sadness; with this conclusion, scholars are alerted to the symbolism of the poem, as the poet seems to be diagnosing the issue of his nation in the struggle for survival.
