Qur’anic Inimitability in Expressing Exemplary Morals in the Story of Prophet Moses and the Daughters of Shu'ayb Hala Abdel Hamid Gharib Ali Department of Rhetoric and Criticism, Faculty of Islamic and Arab Studies for Female Students, Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt E-mail: Halaali2057@azhar.edu.eg Abstract:
This research aims to showcase the eloquence of the Qur'an in expressing the exemplary morals found in the story of Prophet Moses (pbuh) and the two daughters of Shu'ayb (pbuh). It highlights the conduct that a true Muslim, who follows the ethics and teachings of Islam, should adhere to, illustrated by Prophet Moses’ modesty in his conversation with the daughters of Shu'ayb (pbuh), as well as the shyness of the two women, which Islam greatly values as a noble trait. The study also underscores Prophet Moses’ fulfillment of promises, a key Islamic virtue encouraged by both the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The research adopts an inductive-analytical approach. The conclusion presents a series of findings, including: 1) The Qur'an is miraculous in its structure, wording, and imagery, conveying lessons, reminders, and guidance. 2) The verses under study in Surah Al-Qasas are realistic as they recount a true story with an educational impact on the reader, aiming to inspire noble morals and high virtues.
