Abstract:
This study aims to clarify the impact of sound awareness of Arabic grammar rules on understanding the intent of Sharia rulings, the meaning of which often becomes clear only through syntactic analysis. It highlights the importance of understanding Arabic grammar for Islamic jurists, as it is essential for comprehending detailed legal rulings. following an inductive analytical approach, this study examines books that explain Quranic verses related to legal rulings, as well as books of Islamic jurisprudence and fundamentals of jurisprudence that discuss rulings addressed by jurists using grammatical rules. The study attempts to connect these sources to illustrate the effect of grammar on Sharia rulings. The research is organized into ten sections, alphabetically arranged, with a concluding section presenting key findings. One of the main conclusions is that a jurist must be knowledgeable in the Arabic language to understand the divine teachings and the sayings of the Prophet (pbuh) accurately. A jurist must also be proficient in grammar, which reflects the arrangement of Arabic speech; syntax has a clear influence on legal rulings and their interpretation. Meanings vary according to syntactical judgments, leading to different Sharia rulings.
