Abstract:
The research aims to explain the meaning of mercy in the Holy Qur’an and its semantic variants in various Qur’anic contexts. This research is an attempt to address the strengths and the weaknesses of the pronunciation in terms of choosing strong sounds for strong meanings and weak sounds for weak meanings and their significance in the Holy Qur’an. The research also touches on the lexical, morphological, syntactic, and phonetic significance. The goal of the research is to know the meanings of mercy in its various contexts, its multiple forms, and to specify the general ones from a structural standpoint in some models. The descriptive and analytical methods have been used in this research. The most important results are: the verses of mercy in the Holy Qur’an are 334 verses; the use of the name Rahman is limited to Almighty Allah, and it has no feminine form.
