Some of the Moral Values in the Holy Qur’an and Prophetic Guidance: A Syntactic and Semantic Study

Abstract:
This research aims to study the Qur’anic texts that include some moral values in contrast to the Prophetic hadiths that include the same moral values. It is a linguistic study based on an analysis of the syntactic and semantic elements of each of them in order to know the extent of similarity of the two styles in structure and meaning. It also seeks to find out the secret behind this moral beauty, mentioned in the Qur’anic text at the tongue or embodied in the actions of Prophet Moses (pbuh) and explained by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is divinely inspired. The descriptive approach has been followed in this study, in which the syntactic style of the verses under study is analyzed and compared to the syntactic style of the Prophet’s hadiths that deal with the same moral value addressed in the verses, with the aim of arriving at areas of similarity between them. The analytical study of both the Qur’anic verses and the Prophetic hadiths that include the same moral values has shown the similarity of the syntactic styles of both sides. The values examined in this study include certainty in trusting in Allah Almighty, the value of physiognomy, the value of modesty, and the value of helping other people fulfil their needs.
