Abstract:
This research aims to explain the meaning of Nusrah (helping the oppressed) and its importance as a prophetic quality, and a duty that must be fulfilled according to the Sharia. The research explains how and to whom Nusrah is given, the virtue of giving Nusrah in this world and the hereafter, how to be capable of it, and the penalty for falling short of it in this world and the hereafter. This is followed by giving examples and pictures of the help of the Prophet (pbuh) and his honorable companions to the oppressed, whether they were Muslims or non-Muslims. On the other hand, the research aims to explain the meaning of betrayal, its causes, and its forms, and to explain the punishment resulting from it in this world and the hereafter. In this research, which follows the inductive and analytical approaches, the Prophet’s hadiths that touch on Nusrah and betrayal have been collected, studied and analyzed. Through this research, I have come to the conclusion that Nusrah is a religious duty from a Muslim to his Muslim brother and even to non-Muslims as well. The results of this research also show that supporting the oppressed cannot be achieved except by rejecting fanaticism, resolving conflicts, and staying away from differences.
