Role Models in the Noble Qur’an: Abraham (pbuh) as a Model An Objective Exegetical Study

Abstract:
This research sheds light on a very important topic that has a major role in the upbringing of generations, which is the role model in the Holy Qur’an, because a role model has a positive impact on the individual if it is good, and a negative impact if it is bad, hence on society as a whole. The research tackles the meaning of role models literally and technically and explains their types, good and bad. This study, which follows the inductive, deductive, and analytical approaches, mentions Prophet Abraham (pbuh) as an example of a good role model. It explains the reason for choosing him as a model and the importance of imitating him, peace be upon him. The results reached through this study include: 1) A good role model is one of the means of Islamic Call. 2) A good role model has a great role in building the family and society and improving the negative image of Islam spread in Western societies. 3) Bad use of the Internet has become a major problem that our society suffers from as it presents bad examples for people to imitate. 4) By following the example of our Prophets and Messengers, a generation of whom we are proud will be raised to lead the nations. 5) Islamic teachings lead to progress in everything.
