Abstract:
This research revolves around the inculcation of morals through the verses of the incident of Al-Ifk (slander) in the Qur'an. It aims to contemplate the verses related to the incident and to derive the morals from them, with the goal of addressing a moral crisis currently faced by societies, which negatively affects both individuals and communities. This crisis, the spread of rumors, is one of the most dangerous challenges that societies face, especially with technological advancement and the presence of the Internet, which is one of the most powerful means of spreading rumors. In this research, the concept of building ethics, its methods and means in the Holy Qur'an have been addressed, and then the development of individual and social ethics through the verses of the Incident of Slander has been tackled. This study has resulted in the following conclusions:
 1) The Qur'an has given great importance to the building of ethics. This is evidenced by the fact that the number of verses on ethics is very large compared to the verses on rulings, exceeding 1,500 verses in various chapters of the Qur'an.
 2) The methods of building morals in the Qur'an have varied greatly.
 3) The Incident of Slander encompassed many great moral values; upholding these values protects society from the promoters of evil.
 4) It is necessary to take lessons and moral insights from past experiences and situations.
