Abstract:
This research aims is to clarify how Kuwaiti law regulates ethics in disputes of personal status and to illustrate its role in enhancing rational awareness. The study adopts an inductive and descriptive approach and falls under the third theme of the conference, “Ethics and Mechanisms for Building Rational Awareness in Legal Studies.” It consists of an introduction, two main sections, and a conclusion. Among the key findings are: there exists a complementary relationship between ethics and law. The law itself serves as a tool for deterrence and punishment when its legal rules are violated; in this way, security, safety, and stability can be ensured. Thus, any civilized society cannot do without both law and ethics. One of the challenges with laws is that they are applied in some cases, while in others they may be difficult to enforce, whereas ethics are consistent and apply equally to everyone.
