Abstract:
The Prophetic Tradition (Sunnah) is the second source of Islamic legislation after the Quran. This legislation establishes values and principles and regulates individuals' relationships with their Lord and their community, thus achieving sustainable development for society based on brotherhood and cooperation. Scholars of Islamic jurisprudence have categorized the objectives of legislation based on their general purpose into three types: essential (daruriyyah), complementary (ḩajiyyah), and refined (taḩsiniyyah) objectives. This study focuses on the role of the Sunnah in emphasizing refined objectives, including the noble virtue of al-satr (concealment).  This study is an attempt to remind Muslims of this virtue and its place in Islamic legislation as illustrated in the Prophetic Sunnah. The research is divided into an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion. Section One includes four topics: Definition of the Sunnah; Definition of the objectives of Sharia, Categories of the objectives of Sharia; and Definition of refined objectives. Section Two includes five topics: Definition of noble morals and the emphasis placed on them in the Sunnah; Definition of al-Satr and its guidelines; The position of the virtue of al-Satr in Sharia, with various hadiths related to it; Means of embodying the virtue of al-Satr; and Benefits of al-Satr . Finally, the conclusion summarizes the key findings and recommendations of the research.
