Abstract:
This research aims to introduce the contractual agriculture system and its role in achieving sustainable development, by presenting the benefits granted to farmers with an explanation of the jurisprudential provisions related to it.  The research explains its economic importance in the necessity of reclaiming desert lands, rationalizing irrigation water consumption, and its social importance in achieving food security. The research relies on inductive, analytical, and comparative approaches. The research yields several results, the most important of which are the following1. Farmers in the contractual agriculture system may request production loans, which are exempt from religious prohibition due to necessity or need, or if there are economic feasibility studies.2.Offering  seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides at partially or fully subsidized prices is considered a gift. The aim is  motivating farmers to join the contractual agriculture system, and this is permissible according to Islamic law.
3.Contractual agriculture has an important and effective role in achieving food security and controlling imports from foreign markets. It also contributes to stabilizing markets and prices, increasing agricultural industrialization rates, and agricultural exports. 4.Marketing contractual agriculture products at a price determined before agriculture of such products is legally permissible, taking into account the interest of all parties, including farmers, traders, and consumers.5. Agricultural crops insurance is based on cooperation in compensating for any damages that may occur.
