Foundational Perspectives on a Comprehensive Religious Text on Noble Morals The verse: “follow the path of forgiveness- خذ العفو" as an example.

This research aims to highlight the extent of our distinguished scholars' attention to religious texts. It also seeks to identify the main foundational issues contained in the studied Quranic verse and to explain the moral values advocated by this verse. The analytical-inductive method is adopted. The following are among the most important findings: the unique characteristics of religious texts, such as their divine source, gradation in legislation, miraculous nature, brevity, and their non-contradiction with sound reason and innate nature. Scholars have also established numerous criteria for understanding the religious text, which should be considered by anyone engaging with the text to ensure a correct understanding. The research elucidated foundational perspectives in the Quranic verse, including: the directive nature of the command in the verse, Allah's command to His Messenger - peace be upon him - to command in accordance with what is good, which is a command for all the nation, considering that the Prophet - peace be upon him - is a conveyor of the message, not considering the literal wording of the command. The enjoinment of good in His saying: "(And) enjoin what is right" also implies a prohibition of evil. The use of "the" (Alif Lam) before singular or plural words in the verse indicates generality. The differences among scholars regarding whether the verse is abrogated or not stem from their differing interpretations of the verse. The research also highlighted the arguments of some of our esteemed scholars on the authenticity of what is considered right or good in the studied Quranic verse.
