Al-Falah “Success” in the Prophetic Tradition Compilation and Study Laila Bint Ali Bint Mohammad AL Nassar Department of Sunnah, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Qassim University, Buraidah, Qassim, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Email: lnsaar@qu.edu.sa Abstract: The Hadiths related to Al-Falah in the Prophetic Tradition have been compiled and studied to distinguish between the authentic and weak narrations. Using an inductive and thematic approach, Al-Falah refers to attaining the pleasure of Allah and His rewards in this world and the Hereafter, as well as protection from His wrath and punishment. It has two pillars: first, belief in Allah the Exalted, and second, righteous deeds. There is no faith without action, and there is no Falah (success) without faith. A sincere belief is essential for any righteous action to be accepted, and there are deeds that lead to Falah and deeds that hinder it. Among the factors contributing to Al-Falah are belief in Allah, sincerity in performing deeds for His sake, a pure heart, fulfillment of the obligatory duties Allah has imposed on His servants, truthfulness in speech and action, following the Sunnah of the Prophet, adherence to the remembrance of Allah, reciting the Quran, maintaining humility in prayer, giving Zakat and charity, seeking Allah’s forgiveness and well-being in this world and the Hereafter through supplication. Neglecting any of these actions is considered an obstacle to achieving Al-Falah.
