Abstract:
The effect of multiple readings on the translation of the meanings of the Quran is the subject of this research. It aims to explore to what extent do the English translations of the Holy Quran reflect the multiplicity of readings, and the impact of that multiplicity on the meaning of the verses. As well as the addition of a new translation of the terms covered by the research, which is characterized by the inclusion of multiple readings contained in those verses. The analytical and comparative descriptive approaches have been used to reach the research objective. The nature of the research required that it to be organized into: an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, an indexes for references, and the table of the contents.
The titles of the chapters are as follows: The first chapter: The difference of translations according to the multiplicity of readings. The second chapter: the agreement of translations on one reading. I have come out of this research with several results, the most important of which is : None of the translations included the multiplicity of readings contained in the subjects of the study except rarely. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
