Abstract:
This study aims to explore the hypothesis of coincidence that disguises itself once under a philosophic umbrella and another under a scientific explanation claiming that it is a logical solution to explain the origin of the universe. Those, who believe in the hypothesis of coincidence, based on the hypothesis of evolution and autogenesis, find that such a hypothesis is the perfect explanation to clarify the origin of the universe and the living organisms. Moreover, the study aims to illustrate that the coincidence hypothesis is a pure product of the materialistic western mentality. Such mentality generates atheism which aims to detach man from anything beyond his concrete reality .In addition, the study reveals the mental and scientific delusion contained in such a hypothesis. The study uses the historical, analytical and critical approaches. The most important of findings is clear in the  fine tuning and intelligent design which indicate that the universe has reached a degree of sophistication and complexity that make it impossible to exist due to coincidence. This defeats the notion of eternity and coincidence and necessitates the existence of a creator. Moreover, the study illustrates that the scientific discoveries defy the whole hypothesis of coincidence. Coincidence as a hypothesis for creation is rejected by the foundations of the scientific research  based on objective rules that explain all phenomena in our world. The study differentiates between two theories: design and creativity versus coincidence and randomness. These two theories oppose each other and no one can believe in one of them without renouncing the other. The study recommends the importance of nourishing the research centers to combine both cosmic and Islamic studies; together with the inclusion of scientific  in  the curriculums to connect the students and the researchers with their reality.
