Abstract
This research paper seeks to study the Andalusian prose product that is classified under the term " Messages/ Ar-Raseal" and analyze it, taking Ash-Shaqndi’s Message on the merits of Andalusia as a model, and using the formal method to show through it the artistic and literary features that characterize this type of messages. The paper moves Ash-Shaqndi’s message to a different category, which is "articles". The result of the research is an attempt to unravel the entanglement and the terminological generalization that characterize most of the Arabic prose production. Moreover, it tries to analyze Ash-Shaqandi's Message and extract its distinctive features. Finally paralleling these features with the features of "Articles" genre hence concluding that Ash-Shaqandi's Message could be classified under "Articles" and specifically "Critical Articles" which is the most prominent finding of the research. It is considered an article that tackles critically the literary, intellectual and cultural production.
