Abstract:
The research aims at showing how the available vaccines for COVID-19 are effective in mitigating severe damage resulting from this deadly virus, and to determine the sharia opinion in case of breakthrough infection after using the vaccine during the holy month of Ramadan. The research follows both the inductive and deductive approaches. The inductive approach explores Covid-19 vaccines, and breakthrough infections. The deductive approach, indicates the correct sharia opinion of taking the vaccine, and what happens if a breakthrough infection takes place to the vaccinated person in the holy month of Ramadan, by discussing the doctrines of jurisprudence, and indicating the most accepted. The research concludes that COVID-19 vaccines are effective and may be taken during the day of Ramadan and that fasting is not spoiled, and that breakthrough infection is the case in which the recipient of the vaccine gets the same disease that the vaccine aims to prevent, and that the disease that allows breaking the fast is the disease that over-exhausts  the fasting person , the person must break the fast and make up for it, and  fasting is accepted if the person can fast. The person must consult a skillful doctor, and his fasting is not  spoiled by unintentional vomiting. The research recommends taking the Covid-19 vaccine as the optimal way to deal with such infectious disease, following the World Health Organization, UNICEF and other bodies related to health preservation in general.
