Jurisprudence Description & Classification of Innovation Rights in E-books

Abstract:
The e-book is considered one of the modern innovations that have been applied in the educational system locally and globally. As the whole world is trending the digitization in various fields because it makes life easier and achieves the desired purposes. It is related to science and learning, which our Shariah has always been keen to encourage and protect the rights of innovation. The research addresses this topic through defining the e-book, listing its advantages and disadvantages,  defining the right of innovation, and clarifying the Shariah classification and description of the right of innovation in the e-book. This study aims to show the validity of the Islamic sharia for every time, place and every case, and its texts and are applicable to all developments over the ages.  Shariah is concerned to protect the rights of its followers, and among these the indispensable rights is the right of innovation. Most prominently the findings are:  the e-book is only an electronic copy or edition of the paper book in a specific form so that they do not change from one device to another, and can be received and read online. Protecting the rights of innovation in e-books and maintaining the financial right to their authors is encouraged and permissible; all this preserves the rights and encourages the innovators in various fields to excel and create. All these guarantees the development of humanity which is dependent upon innovation, and this is one of the most important purposes of the Islamic Sharia.
