Abstract:
This research revolves around the topic of the general and specific in terms of meaning, and the collecting of the controlling rules related to it, which are scattered in exegeses. The exegetes paid most attention to explaining the general and specific in terms of meaning in their interpretation of the meanings of the Ayas of the Glorious Quran. Nevertheless, this attention was applicable only during their interpretation of the Ayas of the Glorious Quran, not from a theoretical perspective, as they did not set the controlling rules related to the general and specific from the perspective of meaning. Only very few of exegetes were concerned with that, as the controlling rules of the general and the specific in terms of meaning were scattered in the introductions and bodies of some exegeses. This research collects the controlling rules related to the general and the specific from the perspective of meaning. It also introduces some applied models from the exegeses to show the importance of being aware of them for better understanding and interpreting the meanings of the Glorious Quran.
