The Divine Attributes between Taweel[1] and Tafweed[2] according to the Hanbalis[3], a Critical Study of the Earlier and Later Scholars

Abstract:
This research tackles one of the most important issues in the history of the dogmatic debate of the Hanbalis,  the research compares the opinions of earlier scholars and the later ones and the degree of consistence of the opinions of both sections with the  founder and imam of the doctrine. The research adopts critical descriptive method, and is  divided into:  an introduction in which the importance of the research and the research questions are mentioned, then a preface which clarifies the concepts of Taweel and Tafweed from both a linguistic and scientific perspective. The body is divided into two sections: the first one tackles how Hanbalis and Hadith Scholars provided evidence for the ascription of the attributes to Allah, the opinions of a number of scholars were mentioned in this regard, the issue of the creation of the Quran and its centrality in the Hanbali dialectical context was discussed as well in this section. The second section discusses Taweel and Tafweed of  attributes according to a number of scholars. The most important findings are: First, presenting the method of  Ahmed bin Hanbal in the ascription  of attributes; Second, showing how the methods of Hanbalis and later scholars of Hadith are compatible and not contrastive; third, proving that concepts of Taweel and Tafweed appeared with later scholars. Fourth: revealing how the effect of this appeared  in the discussions of  later scholars.
