Abstract:
The Glorious Qur'an is a very rich material to study "stream of consciousness" as it contains some stories that have the elements of the literary story – including characters- and it also contains a lot of positions where human characters – in the context of narration and not only stories- are examined. This study is applied to the misguided categories. The methods of stream of consciousness are also employed to uncover these special cases. The aim of this study is to demonstrate how the style of stream of consciousness is employed in the Glorious Qur'an such as soliloquy, time regression, inner monologue and description. The analytical descriptive approach is used in this study to track the phenomena of the style of stream of consciousness and to reach specific results. This can be achieved by applying this approach on models from the Glorious Qur'an. Among the most important conclusions of the study is that by using the stream of consciousness style, the Qur'anic style reveals the mentality of the misguided categories when they deal with Islam and Muslims. Another conclusion is that differences between the styles of stream of consciousness are very subtle and need certain deep examination, especially when dealing with the Qur'anic text. The Qur'anic style use of the methods of stream of consciousness has highlighted a flaw within the awareness of the characters and the misguided categories which is in parallel with reality. This Qur'anic style reflects their psyche, ideas and mentality regarding the issues of acceptance, submission, rejection and rebellion in the present life. The Qur'anic style also reflects the shock of those who are in doubt when they know the truth in the Day of Judgment when everyone will be judged for their choices.
