ملخص البحث:
تهدف الأخلاق عند عفيف الدين التلمساني إلى تقويم سلوک الإنسان وتنظيم حياته، کما تهدف إلى الکشف عن الأخلاق الحسنة ودرجاتها وسبل التحقق بها، وکذلک الکشف عن ارتباط الأخلاق بقدرة الإنسان واختياره، فيختار طريق الخير أو طريق الشر، ويختار بين الأخلاق الفاضلة وبين الأخلاق الدنية (الرذائل). ونتيجة لهذا الاختيار يؤهل للجزاء الأخروي بالثواب أو بالعقاب. وقد اعتمدت في هذه الدراسة على المنهج التحليلي النقدي المقارن، ونستنتج من الدراسة أن الأخلاق حين تدرس يجب أن يؤخذ في الاعتبار جميع أفعال الإنسان وأقواله، لأنها کلٌ متصل، لا يتجزأ ولا ينفصل. کما أنها ترتبط بالقضاء والقدر، والجزاء الأخروي.

Abstract:
According to al-Tilimsani, morality aims at adjusting man's behavior and organizing his life. It also aims at revealing good manners, their degrees and ways of verifying them. Moreover, it aims at revealing the relation of morality to man's ability and choice so that he chooses the good way or the evil way and distinguishes between good manners (virtue) and bad manners (vice). This choice qualifies him for reward or punishment in the afterlife. When studying morality, all deeds and sayings of man should be taken into account, because they are a connected and inseparable whole. They are also connected with predestination and reward or punishment of the afterlife. To investigate morality in al-Tilimsani's writings and show its importance, an analytical and comparative method was used to form an integrated moral system and highlight all subtle facts related to it.
